The floor is only as good as the subfloor under it

— we level, moisture-test, and repair before we install, so your floors don’t squeak, lift, or telegraph flaws.

What It Entails

A flat, dry, solid base — then a flawless install

Most flooring problems aren’t the flooring — they’re what’s underneath. An unlevel or damp subfloor makes planks bounce, tile crack, and seams show. We start where it matters, get the base right, then install your floor to manufacturer spec with clean transitions and trim.

Subfloor Preparation

The step that decides whether your floor lasts

Beautiful flooring installed over a bad subfloor fails fast — bouncing planks, cracked grout lines, hollow spots, and visible seams. We treat prep as its own job, not an afterthought. Before a single board goes down, we make sure the base is flat, dry, sound, and clean.

That foundation is also what protects your manufacturer warranty — most flooring warranties are voided by improper subfloor moisture or flatness.

What proper prep includes

1

Level & flatten. Self-leveling compound and sanding to remove dips and high spots.

2

Moisture testing. We test concrete and wood and add vapor barriers where needed.

3

Squeak & soft-spot repair. Re-secure subfloor, fix joists and damaged decking.

4

Clean & acclimate. Surface cleaned and flooring acclimated to your home before install.

Questions

Flooring FAQs

How long does flooring installation take?
